Thoughts from our Conversation Partners

This spring, The Family Place began a new program for our adult ESL students: the ESL Conversation Partners program. In this program, students are matched with a native speaker from the community to meet with on a weekly basis and practice their spoken English in an informal setting. Volunteers come to The Family Place during the break between classes and chat with students over lunch. It has been a learning process for all of us, and we've seen some wonderful connections forged between people who are all members of the same community.
